George W. Watson
George Watson brings solid senior executive level experience to our board, having spent 6 years in such positions as CFO, President and CEO with TransCanada Pipelines Ltd., a leading North American energy company publicly traded on the TSE and NYSE. Among his many accomplishments for TCPL was a well-executed multi-billion dollar merger with Nova Corporation, the implementation of a customer focus throughout the organization, a successful international expansion, progress in developing their e-business, and the development of a $50 million power business between 1990 and 1999. He had also spent 2 years as President and CEO of Intensity Resources, a small Calgary exploration and production company, and as VP Finance with Dome Petroleum Ltd. where he successfully completed the restructuring of its $6 billion debt and sale to Amoco Canada in 1988.
George currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Toronto Dominion Bank, the Conference Board of Canada and Queen's University. Other past directorships include TransCanada Pipelines and affiliates, Canadian Energy Pipeline Association, and INGAA as Vice Chairman.
George obtained a B.Sc. and an M.B.A. at Queen's University, in Kingston, Ontario. He also completed an Advanced Management Program at Harvard University.
